North Beds Ramblers - hard at work!

Coming Up!

News - 17th may 2015.

Our local Ramblers have been up to great things lately in and around Woodlands Park, Brickhill.

Never ones to shy away from hard work, the Ramblers are as dedicated today as they ever have been and spend many hours maintaining footpaths and rights of ways for everyone to use.

Here are just a few photos and details of what they were up to on Tuesday - scroll down to the end for a map of the locations they were working on...

The 'Before' Picture

Just a little clearance needed this time plus a few replacement Marker Posts.

It's amazing what can be achieved with a decent set of tools, some outdoor clothes and a little determination!

Woodlands Park has some amazing scenery and lovely walks. Why not come along and join us sometime?

The 'After' Picture!

It is essential to keep a tight reign on the fauna at bottlenecks like this - it doesnt take much to close a route off entirely.

All the grass, thistles and vines have been removed opening up the little bridge once more.

Another bridge...

We had to resite the local post maker - it wasnt put in right back in 2015.

You can see below where we have been working.

North Beds Ramblers - Saturday is the day that our group take to the paths and fields, get some fresh air and socialise.  We are a friendly group and walk at a moderate pace which gives time to chat and be aware of the landscape we are walking through. We have a varied programme (available on–line together with contact details) and endeavour to walk all around North Bedfordshire.  The walks are 5-7 miles and we start at 1pm in the winter and 1.30pm in the spring/summer.
